On May 9, 2018, Sergeant Jeremie Nix of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida was running late to a date night when he came upon a car stopped in the middle of a roadway. Inside were two women, and a baby who had stopped breathing. Sgt. Nix’s plans for the night changed as he pulled over and began administering first aid.
