How Cobb County PD tracked the Midtown Shooter | Inside Axon Fusus Real-Time Crime Centers

In 2005, an active shooter shot and killed 4 people in Atlanta, Georgia. For 27 hours, the shooter remained at large, causing chaos and uncertainty in the city. In 2023, another active shooter shot 5 people in Midtown Atlanta. Within 6 hours, the suspect was in custody.

The difference? This time, law enforcement agencies in the area had Axon Fusus. Using this cloud-based real-time crime center platform, Cobb County Police Department was able to locate the suspect’s getaway vehicle, which led them to the suspect.
